June 07, 2015: Famous Italian photographer Luca Bracali has begun his journey across Vietnam on a Vespa. This ride is a part of the project explorer initiated by himself.

“When I was a child, I dreamt of roaming by a Vespa scooter, a symbol of freedom, innocence and joie de vivre to explorers. The experience will be new and make me touched as I have travelled by different vehicles, including sleigh, balloon, car, motorcycle and even dog-sledge”, Bracali said.

He said that he will open a photo exhibition about the beauty of the land and people of Vietnam right after the journey ends.

Apr 18, 2014: Vespa officially announced the launch of Vespa Sprint in Vietnam. The new Vespa Sprint replaces the Vespa S. The Vespa Sprint is available with both 125cc and 150cc engines. The trapeziodal headlights, rear view mirrors inspired by the Vespa 946, unique seats are some of the unique highlights of the Vespa Sprint.

The 125cc engine has 9.6bhp@7,750rpm and a torque of 9.5Nm@6,000rpm. The 150cc engine has 11.7bhp@75000rpm and 12Nm@5000rpm. The scooter is 1860mm long and has a wheelbase of 1340mm. Seat height is 790mm.

The Sprint retails at 71.8 million VND for 125cc and 85.35 VND for the 150cc variant. It is available in five colours – white, red, black, green and titanium gray.

The Vespa PX 150 was launched in 1977 in Milan. The Vespa PX 150E was launched in 1978 with an upgraded suspension. The PX 150E continued in production till 1987.

Vespa is putting up this one off Vespa 946 Christmas Edition. The proceeds will be donated to the National Hospital for Pediatrics in Hanoi, Vietnam.


Nov 12, 2013: Vespa launched the GTS Super at a price of 79.9 million VND. The GTS Super will be available only with the 125cc engine. Red, white and grey options are offered on the GTS Super. The GTS Super is locally assembled at the Vespa factory in Vinh Phuc.

The GTS Super sports twin rear shock absorbers and rear disc brakes.

Nov 12, 2013: Vespa officially revealed the locally built Vespa Primavera. The Vespa Primavera will be launched in both 125cc and 150cc versions. The Vespa LX will be discontinued.

The price of Vespa Primavera is 68.8 million VND. The price of the 150cc version is not yet revealed.

Nov 06, 2013: Vespa is rumoured to be preparing to unveil the Vespa Primavera in Vietnam on the 12th of November. The Vespa Primavera when launched in Vietnam is expected to offer the 125cc and 150cc engine options.

Vespa GTS in Vietnam

Nov 04, 2013: Piaggio Vietnam is rumoured to be preparing its locally assembled Vespa GTS for launch in the next ten days. The current Vespa GTS, which is imported, is sold at 135.5 million VND. Local assembly could potentially drop the price of the GTS to 70-80 million VND.


Oct 03, 2013: Piaggio Vietnam has just launched the ‘LX Bi-colour’ variant. The livery is inspired with the international variants. Contrasting colours are offered on the base scooter.

Vespa Bi-colour

White/Blue and White/Red combinations are offered. The contrasting colour is offered over the side panels running over the floorboard. and extending into the front profile. The glovebox is also painted in the same colour. Seat is also in the contrast colour with contrast stitches.
