Feb 11th, 2015: Wayne Biggs who was diagnosed with Lymphoma and is told he had months to live is riding across South Island, New Zealand in a noble and brave gesture. The ride, aptly named ‘Tiny Wheels for a Giant Cause’, aims to increase awareness and raise money for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer in New Zealand.

This father of two boys in his orange T-shirt and orange Vespa  GTS reached Walter Peak, Otago yesterday.

Michael Huddleston a friend who started with Biggs on the trip had to drop off due to an unfortunate accident.

Oct 7, 2013: Vespiario (Thailand), the authorised importer of Vespa scooters, introduced the Vespa 946. 50 units of the Vespa 946 will be imported from Italy for the Thai domestic market.

The 125cc scooter is priced at 499,000 THB including the 60% import tax.

Piaggio has confirmed the launch of the revised Liberty 125 3V for late September. The vehicle will cost 2,499 Euros. Blalck, white, blue and brown colour options are available.

Sept 11, 2013: Is Vespa preparing a revised GTS for 2014?

If rumours are to be believed, a revised new Vespa GTS is on the way for 2014. The chassis will be upgraded and the engine will be replaced by the 330cc unit from Piaggio X10 350 and 350 Beverly. The engine power will obviously be more than the current GTS. Minor upgrades to the block can be expected. Details remain sparse.

After a gap of 12 years, the Vespa Club of Mouscron, Belgium is reborn! The Vespa Scooter Club was founded in 1995 and had a very active and vibrant presence in Mouscron. However with the accidental death of its club members the Vespa Scooter Club ceased in 2001. In its heydays the club had organised annual rally with around 250 participants from as far as United Kingdom and Holland.

The Vespa Scooter Club was revived in March and has already participated in the Euro Vespa in Hasselt, Amsterdam Rally and Moto Legende in Dijon.

The annual membership fee is 20 Euros. Meetings are held every first Friday of the month, alternated between the clubs – Martino and Brind’Zinc.

The Wooden Vespa

Carlos Alberto created this beautiful Vespa out of laminated plywood. The Vespa is built to precision and have borrowed many parts from the original. The vehicle is powered by a 50cc engine and can run 100 miles per gallon. Almost all materials used in building this scooter is recyclable. This was a gift from this artist to his daughter!

VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out

Sept 17, 2013: Spazio Broleto, the Piaggio Group showroom in Central Milan was one of the hotspots in the Vogue Fashion Night 2013. “We are Presidents”, the DJ trio formed byOZ, Paul and Manuel, played to the two-wheeler fans gathered for the event.

The Vespa 946 Ricordo Italiano and the Moto Guzzi California was presented to the fashion elites at the event.
