Vespa Primavera

The all new 2014 Vespa Primavera seeks to revive the lineage of the original Vespa Primavera. The original Vespa Primavera was launched in 1968 and was a resounding success that lasted many years. The Vespa Primavera is influenced by the styling of the Vespa 946. The profile is angular with an emphasis on the ‘omega shape’. The flush sitting front indicators and the grille is clearly inspired by the Vespa 946. LED running light and indicators are new in the Primavera.

The handle bar has adopted the horizontal divide of the classical Vespa scooters. The cuffs in the handlebar harks to the distinct gear shifting units of yore. A traditional instrument console is supplemented with an elegant multifunction display.

Practicality was a design priority. Under seat storage has increased from 14.3 litres to 16.6 litres. This is the result of some clever packaging involving the location of the battery. The seat is opened by means of a dedicated switch next to the ignition lock. The tyres are 11″. The alloy wheels remain five-spoke – a Vespa trait. Rear brakes have been upgraded to 140mm diameter.
