Jun 1, 2015: Around 200 Vespistis joined together for three days in La Marlagne, Wépion, for the 30th anniversary of the Vespa Club Namur.

Vespa Club Namur was founded in 1951. However their activities dwindled down in 1970s. In 1985, a few enthusiastic Vespa lovers joined and revived the club under the chairmanship of Dimitri Seidoff. Vespa Club Namur and its 40 odd members continue to meet and celebrate the spirit of Vespa!

Nov 13, 2014: Marc Davis from Gistel obtained the second place in the Championship of national tourist Vespa Club Belgium. The Championship title went to club mate Wilfried Desmet. Also on the third place is a member of Vespa Club Ostend. The difference between the first and the second place was barely 250 km this year.


Vespa introduced two special editions – GTS Touring and GTS SuperSport – based on the Vespa GTS.

The SuperSport gets a matte finish, new orange stitching on the saddle and orange scales on the sides of its fender.

The GTS Touring, true to its names gets a windshield, front and rear luggage carriers and the special Sienna colour.

The engine is the 278cc with a power of 22PS@7500 rpm and torque of 22.3Nm@5000 rpm.

Both the Vespa GTS SuperSport 300IE and GTS Touring 300IE is priced at 5,595 €.

Apr 02, 2014: Frans Bauer, the presenter of the popular Bananasplit show, has settled on a Vespa for touring across the country. This yellow Vespa 150 is from 1966 and is owned by Eddy Sakurai, Arendonk, Belgium.

Jan 13, 2014: The recently revived Vespa Club Mechelen organised a ride from Winketkaai in Mechelen to Hombeek. 35 Vespa owners participated in the ride. The club will be organising more rides in the coming months.

The club meanwhile has called out for any information on the Vespa Club Mechelen which was active in the 50s.

Belgium: Tartoer for pasties and Vespa!

Brother sister duo of Sanne and Anke Tartoer have merged their passions at Tartoer, Antwerp. Anke loves cakes, while her brother Sanne adores Vespa scooters. Sanne bought his first Vespa at the age of sixteen. Their parents chip in as well. Their father is good at repairing Vespa scooters while their mother helps Anke in her baking.

Customers can rent a Vespa at the shop for a good ride around. Fans can even purchase scooters at the shop with certain ‘special jobs’ from Sanne.

Dec 02, 2013: The new Vespa Primavera 125cc 3V is available in Belgium at a price of € 4,099.


Vespa scooters were immensely popular after the World War II.  Romain Van Swol (81) from the Parklaan Wetteren-Gran Velde bought his Vespa in the 50s.

His passion for Vespa grew and he went on to become the secretary of Vespa Club in Eke. He was a regular at the meeting of Vespa Scooter Club Belgium. One of the active participants in such meetings was one of the sisters of the Belgium F1 legend, Jacky Ickx.

Romain has ridden his trusty Vespa across Europe – Sweden, Norway, France, Austria, Yugoslavia, Italy and Austria.

After a gap of 12 years, the Vespa Club of Mouscron, Belgium is reborn! The Vespa Scooter Club was founded in 1995 and had a very active and vibrant presence in Mouscron. However with the accidental death of its club members the Vespa Scooter Club ceased in 2001. In its heydays the club had organised annual rally with around 250 participants from as far as United Kingdom and Holland.

The Vespa Scooter Club was revived in March and has already participated in the Euro Vespa in Hasselt, Amsterdam Rally and Moto Legende in Dijon.

The annual membership fee is 20 Euros. Meetings are held every first Friday of the month, alternated between the clubs – Martino and Brind’Zinc.
